1925 - Animation work begins on the Alice Comedy film Alice Picks the Champ.
1928 - Universal Pictures releases the 21st Oswald the Lucky Rabbit film, Oh, What a Knight, to theaters.
1941 - Walt Disney fires Art Babbitt for his union activities.
1945 - Disney delivers the film The Dawn of Better Living to Westinghouse Electric.
1953 - Disney's first "Adventures in Music" animated film, Melody, is released. The film was made in 3-D, the first such film to be released in the US.
1960 - The Western Mine Train Through Nature's Wonderland attraction opens in Frontierland at Disneyland. The attraction cost US$1.8 million to build. It includes early technology leading to Audio-Animatronics, with 200 mechanical moving animals.
1960 - The Art of Animation display opens in Tomorrowland at Disneyland.
1961 - The ABC TV network airs the Walt Disney Presents TV show, featuring Disneyland '61 and Olympic Elk.
1966 - The It's a Small World attraction opens in Fantasyland at Disneyland. The river is 1400 feet long; there are over 500 singing dolls and effects.
1966 - The Topiary Gardens area opens in Fantasyland, outside It's a Small World.
