1967 - Florida's Governor Claude Kirk signs legislation creating the Reedy Creek Improvement District, enabling Walt Disney Productions' operation of Walt Disney World.

2005 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Fairly Oddparents TV show in the US. A babysitter arrives at a home via umbrella, calling herself Susicalifragilistic, references to Disney's Mary Poppins film.
2007 - Disney debuts a new kids' TV show, My Friends Tigger & Pooh. The show introduces a new character, Darby, a six-year-old girl.
